1. Purpose
These Terms govern access to and use of Rankmates, an AI-powered matchmaking service for video-game players.
2. Access to the Service
- Creating an account with email and username is required.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or older if required by the law of your country). Minors must have their legal representative’s authorization.
- We may modify or suspend certain features for technical or security reasons.
3. Rules of conduct
- Prohibited: harassment, hate speech, cheating/cheat software, spam, phishing, impersonation, large-scale scraping, unauthorized reverse engineering.
- Comply with rules and licenses of third-party games and platforms.
- Reporting: use the in-app reporting tool or contact contact@rankmates.net.
4. Content and rights
- Rankmates’ rights: the Service, its interfaces, logos, and code remain the property of their respective owners; no rights are transferred.
- User-generated content (UGC): by publishing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, and display such content solely to operate the Service.
- You warrant you hold the necessary rights to the content you publish.
5. Advertising and third-party links
The Service may display ads via Google AdSense and contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or services of those third parties.
6. AI and recommendations
AI-generated teammate suggestions are provided “as is” without any guarantee of availability, skill level, or outcome. Use your judgment.
7. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time from your RankMates account space.
- We may suspend or close an account in case of Terms violations, security issues, or harm to third parties.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect damages, data loss, loss of opportunity, or non-material harm arising from the use of the Service.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
